12C - Case Study HW

X Factor
How do audiences access texts across the three platforms?
Audiences access texts across the three platforms by e-media which is stating their opinions online and voting who should be voted out or their favourite singer (X Factor), print which is stating their opinions on TV magazines and gossip magazines and finally broadcasting which is talking to the judges on X Factor such as Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cola by using a internet software called skype.  By giving the audience a chance to interact with the X Factor judges means that more audiences will then be attracted to the show due to being able to speak to the X Factor judges as some audiences may enjoy speaking to the judges, other audiences may want to argue with the judges which means that the other type of audience will be amused and entertained to see what other people have to say about the judges, as well as the contestants for example Matt Cardle X Factors latest winner.
What institutional issues are raised by the topic areas?
There is a change in the technology due to being able to watch the X Factor online as well as in high definition which means customers and audiences will be able to have value for money due to paying for the high definition services which means that the audiences and customers will want to watch their favourite programs in high definition such as X Factor.  So by having X Factor in High Definition means that more people may be more satisfied when watching X factor due to paying for the High Definition services.  Also due to the increase in the technology means that more customers will then be able to watch X Factor as well as finding out the latest gossip and information on the contestants as well as the judges.  This can all be found on applications such as on the i phone 4 and apple products as well as on the internet due to people unable to watch it broadcasting live so they will then be able to catch up online or on the go due to the applications.
